Business email backup and recovery
Email holds contracts, quotes and years of customer history. Providers keep your email running, but deleted messages, a departed employee’s mailbox or a ransomware attack can still mean losing it, unless you have a backup.
The short answer
We set up independent backups of your business email (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or hosted mail), stored separately from your provider, with retention to suit your business, and we help recover deleted email, whole mailboxes or old versions when needed.
What’s included
- Independent backup of every mailbox, stored outside your email provider.
- Retention settings to suit your business and legal needs.
- Leaver handling: keeping a former employee’s email without paying for their licence.
- Recovery of deleted messages, folders or whole mailboxes.
- Test restores, so you know the backup actually works.
- Checks of your provider’s own retention and recycle-bin settings.
How we do it
- Review what you have and what you need to keep.
- Choose a backup service or method.
- Set up and run the first full backup.
- Test a restore.
- Document how to recover, in plain steps.
Isn’t my email already backed up?
Your provider protects against its own failures, but deleted email is usually only kept for a limited time, and a mistake or an attack that deletes messages in your account affects them too. An independent backup, stored elsewhere, is what protects against that.
Common questions
Can you recover email we already deleted?
Sometimes, if it’s still within your provider’s recovery period. We check what can be restored.
Where are backups stored?
With a separate backup service or storage you control, not with your email provider.
What does it cost?
The setup is a fixed price; the backup storage itself is an ongoing cost from the backup service, which we’ll explain up front.
